Students from the Physiotherapy Department Visited the Erbil Branch of the International Red Cross
To benefit from the extensive field experience provided by the International Red Cross, Mr. Tanya S. Salih, the Head of the Physiotherapy Department at Cihan University-Erbil, organized a scientific trip for third-stage students in the aforementioned department to visit the Erbil Branch of the International Red Cross.
During this scientific trip, conducted under the supervision of Dr. Ghassan Hussein Ali, the students were warmly welcomed by Dr. Hedi, the Director of the Physical Rehabilitation Center in the Erbil Branch of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The students were later guided to explore various departments within the center. They were introduced to the principles of physical therapy, including interactions with individuals who have undergone amputations. The session covered essential skills such as adapting to diverse conditions and training for diseases, with a specific focus on the utilization of prostheses in both walking and daily life.
The trip was very interesting and pleasant for the students, who emphasized that the visit greatly contributed to their understanding of a modern treatment center and the efforts dedicated to natural treatment.
