The Closing Ceremony of the Cihan University – Erbil Football Championship 2023

On 21 February 2023, the closing ceremony of the Cihan University-Erbil football championship 2023 was held in the presence of the President of Cihan University – Erbil, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, and the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs and students, Dr. Abdul Sattar Karim Saeed, and the general supervisor of the championship, Dr. Hawkar Qassim Birdawood, Head of the Department of Business Administration.

It began with the final match between the two teams, namely the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cihan University-Erbil’s Stadium which ended with two goals to none in favor of the Biomedical Sciences Department team.

After the end of the match, a ceremony was held to crown the Business Administration Department and Physical Education and Sports Sciences teams the third and second rank, respectively. The Biomedical Sciences Department team, however, was crowned as the holder of the championship title after such a challenging final match.

The ceremony ended with the distribution of medals to the teams and the best player, best goalkeeper, and top scorer award in the championship. It is worth mentioning that the ceremony was held in the presence of a large number of university professors and students.
