The General Consul of the Palestinian State Visits Cihan University – Erbil
On Tuesday 30th of November 2021, the Palestinian Consul, Mr. Nazmi Hazuri, visited Cihan University – Erbil. In the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, the Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Maysoon Al-Haidari, the Head of the Department of International and Diplomatic Relations, the Lecturer Amanj Ali Othman, and a number of professors and students, the Consul presented a seminar in the VIP hall during the symposium organized by the Department of International and Diplomatic Relations entitled “The Role of Consulates in Unifying Scientific and Cultural Relations with Universities”.
His Excellency the Consul stressed the importance of cultural interaction with the various cultural components in the Kurdistan Region, whether officially or through civil society organizations, and the importance of scientific seminars to introduce cultural awareness.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Consul indicated that many lectures and seminars should be organized to express the importance of peaceful coexistence in the Kurdistan Region with its various components, as well as conveying a practical experience in Kurdistan as the first representative of the State of Palestine in Kurdistan since 2011 until now.
