The participation of a student from Cihan University-Erbil in the Iraqi National Team Physical Strength Championship

The student from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Cihan University in Erbil, Chalak Hussein Ali, served as the president of the Kurdistan Physical Strength Federation and took part in the Iraqi National Physical Strength Federation championship. The competition included classic categories such as junior, youth, advanced, and master 1 and was organized by the Iraqi National Olympic Committee.

The tournament took place at the Martyr Hamza Nouri Hall in Babil Governorate from February 22 to 24, 2024. Notably, Chalak Hussein Ali was selected to represent the Erbil physical strength team, alongside four other players. The team secured a commendable third place, with two players contributing to this achievement.

It’s worth mentioning that a total of 155 players from 12 governorates across Iraq participated in the tournament. Chalak Hussein Ali’s active involvement and leadership in the competition showcased his dedication to physical strength sports and brought recognition to the achievements of the Erbil physical strength team.
