A Scientific Trip to Erbil Teaching Hospital by the Physiotherapy Department Students

Mr. Tanya Salam Salih, Head of the Physiotherapy Department of Cihan University-Erbil, organized a scientific trip to Erbil Teaching Hospital involving students from the aforementioned department. The trip aimed to develop their scientific understanding and enhance their academic performance.

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the second-stage students of the abovementioned department visited Erbil Teaching Hospital under the supervision of Ismael Muhsin Mohammed. They were welcomed by the Head of the Physiotherapy Department (Mr. Majid Jawhar Yaba) and physiotherapist (Mr. Hassan Hussein Kakaye), where they were given an overview of the Physiotherapy Department and the equipment they use when treating patients. According to Mr. Majid Jawhar Yaba, ‘‘the most important part of your job is how to act and talk to patients while working’’.

The students claimed that this scientific visit was beneficial, providing them with valuable opportunities to discuss the information received and to observe patients and the methods of treatment.

At the end of the visit, all questions posed by the students were answered by the supervising teacher and the hospital team.
