A scientific visit to some urban and archaeological areas in Erbil

On 24/10/2020, the fifth stage students in the Department of Architecture paid a scientific visit to some of urban areas in Erbil. The visit included the areas of (Tajeel, Khanqa, Sheikh Arab and Sheikh Allah).

Some areas surrounding the (Minaret) were also visited, and the students set out with their teaching supervisor (Asst. Lect. Alhan Faris Ibrahim) at 10:30 in the morning.

The aforementioned areas were surveyed on foot to monitor the historical and ancient buildings present in the area and to identify the surrounding streets and access roads.

This scientific visit is part of the requirements of Urban Design II and for selecting the appropriate site for the proposed urban design project.
