DEPARTMENT OF BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES: A SCIENTIFIC VISIT TO THE SHINE BEAUTY CENTER

On 30 November 2022 (Wednesday), the Shine Beauty Center in Erbil was one of the locations visited by Assistant Lecturers Mr. Mohammed M. Hussein and Ms. Zeena Mahmood along with three groups of third-stage students from the Biomedical Sciences Department of Cihan University – Erbil.

This scientific visit, which was held under the supervision of Assistant Lecturers Mr. Mohammed M. Hussein and Ms. Zeena Mahmood, aimed 1) to introduce the students to the center, its manager, staff, types of services, and the devices available in that center and 2) to increase the students’ understanding of the relationship between that center and the Biomedical Sciences field.

During the visit, Assistant Lecturers Mr. Mohammed M. Hussein and Ms. Zeena Mahmood including the students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Hevar Mohammed, the Manager of the aforementioned center. The visit started by touring the center under Mr. Hevar’s guidance. The students had direct access to all sections of the center. They were also given a detailed description of how this center is operating from receiving a client at this center, offering different types of services, and using the latest approaches and techniques, mainly the hydrafacial process for cleansing the face.

A detailed explanation of a number of skincare and fingernail products was provided to the students other than familiarizing them with the modern and latest technologies utilized in the center. The main technologies included Candela and Cutera laser devices to remove body hair.

Prior to departing from the center, Mr. Mohammed M. Hussein as well as the students expressed their thank you message to Mr. Hevar and the staff of the center for their support and information given throughout the visit.
