Department of Computer Science Students Deliver Presentations on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity at Ahmad Ismail Nankali Preparatory School

Third-year students from the Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity tracks in the Department of Computer Science at Cihan University-Erbil delivered awareness presentations at Ahmad Ismail Nankali Preparatory School for Boys in Erbil on Sunday, 18 October 2026.

The activity was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Reem Jaafar Ismail. The delegation was welcomed by the school principal, Mr. Karwan Ahmed Sulaiman.

During the activity, Zakariya Sirwan Othman, a third-year Computer Science student, presented cybersecurity, explaining how information and digital systems are protected against security threats.

He also outlined digital forensics, including identifying, collecting, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence from computers, networks, and electronic devices to investigate cybercrime.

Aland Shirzad Ibrahim, also a third-year Computer Science student, introduced artificial intelligence (AI), discussing its applications across various sectors and in everyday life.

 He explained how artificial neural networks learn through training, recognize patterns, and make inferences, to simulate the learning process of the human brain.
