- Categories College of Pharmacy
- Date October 15, 2026
On Monday, October 12, 2026, second-year students from the College of Pharmacy at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a scientific visit to the Anatomy Laboratory at Hawler Medical University as part of the college’s efforts to strengthen the practical component of its academic curriculum.
The visit was supervised by Professor Dr. Mirza Hamza Hammadi and Laboratory Assistant Ms. Aya Qaisar Ibrahim, who accompanied and guided the students throughout the visit.
During the visit, Professor Dr. Mirza provided detailed explanations of the anatomical structures and major regions of the human body. Using anatomical specimens and human cadavers, he illustrated the organization of organs and body systems.
This hands-on experience enabled students to observe anatomical structures directly and develop a deeper understanding of the relationships between different organs and systems.
The visit also included active scientific discussions, during which students asked questions about various anatomical and physiological topics. These included differences between male and female pelvic anatomy, the functions of the liver’s lobes, coordination between the nervous system and other body systems, the role of heart valves in regulating blood flow, and anatomical variations within the digestive system.
Through these discussions and practical observations, students reinforced their theoretical knowledge, deepened their understanding of human anatomy, and developed their scientific inquiry and critical-thinking skills.
