Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Hosts Friendly Volleyball Match with Baytakht Private Sports Institute

On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences welcomed a group of teachers and students from Baytakht Private Sports Institute. The visit was supervised by Mr. Chawan Nader, the activities coordinator and volleyball instructor at the institute.

Following the reception of the visiting delegation, the Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Dr. Ahmed Abd Aoun, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the department and its academic features, reaffirming the department’s future plans to expand scientific and educational services for students.

Students of Baytakht Private Sports Institute expressed their admiration for the university’s academic environment and overall campus atmosphere. Another part of the visit included a friendly volleyball match between students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and those of Baytakht Private Sports Institute. The match was held in the university’s indoor hall, where the visiting team succeeded in securing victory.

At the end of the visit, the visiting delegation expressed their sincere gratitude to the departments for the warm reception, emphasizing the importance of such activities in strengthening cooperation between Cihan University–Erbil and sports institutes, and expressing their hope for the continuation of similar activities in the future.
