DESCRIPTION
The Department of Public Administration is ranked as the top department among
universities in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. It was established as the most in-demand field of study
in the Kurdish community to improve public affairs in various ministries and government
institutions. High school graduates from both the scientific and literary fields are accepted into
this department. The courses and study modules are managed by a team of highly qualified
academic staff who rely on contemporary international academic curricula.
VISION
The Public Administration Department at Cihan University-Erbil aspires to be a leader
in developing future public sector leaders and administrators. Through continuous innovation in teaching and research, the department aims to equip its graduates with the essential expertise
needed to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of public institutions. Its goal
is to empower students to contribute meaningfully to the sustainable development and governance
of the Kurdistan region.
MISSION
The department prepares graduates to take on the responsibilities of managing public
sector institutions and administrative units. It equips students with essential skills in planning,
organizing, leadership, communication, and coordination. Upon completion, students develop the
ability to negotiate, manage resources, and make effective decisions based on sound management
principles. Graduates are also trained to contribute to productive and financially responsible
operations, helping public institutions function with professionalism and efficiency.
