Department of Radiological Imaging Technologies: A Scientific Visit to the ALPHA Dental X-Ray Center
On Thursday, March 28th, 2024, the Radiological Imaging Technologies Department at Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Rana Khaleel Hadi and Dr. Tara Kamal Bajlan, organized a scientific visit to ALPHA Dental X-Ray Center for its second-stage students.
This visit was an educational and enlightening experience. It aimed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the principles of dental radiography and the various procedures, as well as advanced techniques employed in dental X-rays.
The students were welcomed by Dr. Azhin Mustafa Goran, the specialist dental radiologist and the owner of the center. They enjoyed listening to a brief demonstration of the protocol for handling the patients, starting from registration on the software system to the procedure of capturing the radiographic images.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to observe and practice capturing extraoral dental radiographs using advanced and modern techniques that minimize imaging errors. Moreover, they asked questions and engaged in discussions with the dentist and supervisors, gaining valuable insights into dental radiographic techniques. This visit not only broadened their knowledge in the field of dental X-rays but also inspired them to practice it in an ideal way.
Throughout the visit, the students participated enthusiastically in it.
