Media Department Students Play Friendly Football Match with Erbil Veteran Players

On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, students of the Department of Media at Cihan University–Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim, played a friendly football match against a group of veteran players from Erbil city.

The match took place in cold winter weather at Tablomol Stadium in Erbil. Students from all four academic levels of the Department of Media participated in the event, competing against a football team composed of veteran players from the city. The match was played at a high level and was characterized by a competitive sporting spirit and positive rivalry.

After strong efforts from both teams to secure a win, the match concluded in a draw, with each team scoring three goals.

At the end of the match, the supervising lecturer expressed his appreciation to the players of both teams for their commitment to fair play and for conducting the match in a respectful sporting spirit, free from violence.
