Organizing a scientific visit to the International Islamic Trust Bank in Erbil by the Department of Banking and Financial Science

To involve the students in activities and scientific visits, and under the supervision of Lecturer Omed Ibrahim Hussein, the Department of Banking and Financial Science, Cihan University-Erbil organized a visit for a group of fourth year students of the department to the International Islamic Trust Bank, which includes the banking and financial sector on Sunday May 9, 2021.

    The visit began by meeting everyone who was in the bank, starting with the manager of the bank branch in Arbil, Ms. Shahnaz Muhammad Nur, who gave the students a lot of information accompanied by examples to be fixed in their minds and gave them advice about the importance of the financial accountant, thanks to her financial background. Transparency, integrity and specialization to preserve the funds of the institution are the qualities that a bank employee needs to have. It is also essential to have deep logical thinking to make appropriate decision to achieve their goals.

     The visit included detailed explanations of the work of all bank departments and work mechanisms, as well as giving students the opportunity to ask their inquiries about the practical reality of the job, how to find a suitable job and how to deal with various difficulties within the working life in banks.

     To sum up, the students benefited from this visit to embody the theoretical aspect that they have studied at the university and the practical aspect that is applied in governmental and private institutions, including banks, especially the International Islamic Trust Bank.
