Participation of Cihan University-Erbil’s President, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, in Panels at Qatar’s International Conference
Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, is set to actively participate in the panels of the International Conference of universities in Qatar, organized by the International Association of Universities (IAU) and hosted at Qatar University.
As part of the ongoing activities of the conference, three significant topics were presented. The first topic focused on expanding the scope of international relations with the theme “Moving Beyond Mobility – Broadening the Scope of Internationalization.” The second topic, titled “Deliberate Interdependence: What Do We Give Up – What Do We Gain?” delved into the concept of intentional interdependence. The third chapter was dedicated to exploring the “Impact of Geopolitics on the Future of International Cooperation.” Following the presentations, participants engaged in discussions, sharing their comments, questions, and opinions on each of the topics. Notably, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi actively contributed to the conference panels, offering valuable insights and perspectives.
The International Association of Universities, established in 1950 under the auspices of UNESCO as part of the United Nations’ post-World War II peace promotion efforts, aims to be an integral part of global initiatives fostering peace and understanding among nations and diverse cultures. To fulfill this mission, the association organizes similar conferences biennially, bringing together universities worldwide to facilitate effective dialogue. The importance of learning and cross-cultural dialogue has consistently been a focal point for the association in its ongoing pursuit of global harmony.
