Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil welcomes Turkish Pharmaceutical Experts
On Sunday, November 19, 2023, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, hosted distinguished guests, Professor Dr. Öztekin ALGÜL, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, and Dr. Ronak Ersan, a Professor at the College of Pharmacy of Mersin University, Turkey.
The meeting, attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Karim, Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed Aydin, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Cihan University-Erbil, was centered around fostering collaboration between Cihan University-Erbil and Turkish universities, particularly in the advancement of pharmaceutical education.
Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, commenced the meeting by extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and providing an overview of Cihan University-Erbil. During his address, he emphasized the significance of the College of Pharmacy, describing it as a pivotal component of the university’s academic landscape. Prof. Dr. Amjad highlighted ongoing efforts to fortify the college through the establishment of modern laboratories, the recruitment of experienced lecturers and experts, and the cultivation of robust international relationships with leading universities and institutions.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to exploring avenues for enhancing scientific collaboration between Cihan University-Erbil and Turkish universities, specifically in the realm of pharmaceutical education. Discussions revolved around the potential for joint scientific research initiatives, student and staff exchange programs, as well as collaborative efforts in organizing conferences, workshops, and symposia. Both sides actively exchanged ideas and proposed actionable measures to be pursued in the future.
