The Second International Academic Conference on Medical Physics Held under the Direction of Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil
The Second International Academic Conference on Medical Physics, took place at the Cihan University-Erbil, was conducted with the supervision and presence of Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, and Dr. Amir Chali, Advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The conference brought together a significant gathering of medical professionals, including doctors, specialists, lecturers, researchers, and government and party representatives, with the collaboration of the Iraqi Medical Physics Society (IMPS).
Taking place on Thursday, November 16, 2023, in the conference hall of Cihan University-Erbil, the event commenced with a welcoming address from the chairman of the Organizing Committee. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, delivered a speech underscoring the significance of medical physics practice. He emphasized the global importance of this scientific discipline and expressed pleasure in hosting such a conference at Cihan University-Erbil. The gathering of experts provided an opportunity to discuss the latest advancements and scientific developments in the field, aiming to implement them in medical practices for the benefit of patients. Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil’s commitment to supporting and ensuring the success of such conferences. Following these opening remarks, the President of the Iraqi Medical Physics Society addressed the audience.
The conference program then unfolded with the presentation of twelve scientific papers by researchers and experts. These presentations delved into various methods of medical physics, incorporating local experiences, as well as technological and scientific advances in the field. Each topic prompted intensive discussions among the participants.
The conference concluded with the formulation of several groundbreaking medical proposals and treatments, accompanied by strategies for their implementation. Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, Dr. Amir Chali, Advisor of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and other dignitaries in attendance, played a key role in the distribution of certificates of participation, marking the successful culmination of the conference.
