Students of the Department of General Education Visited Haval Bookstore

Under the guidance of Lecturer Dr. Samrand Amini, a group of third-stage students were granted the opportunity to explore the prestigious Haval Bookstore on May 8th, 2023. The visit commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Haval Salim Hussein, Mr. Shafi’h Hashimi, and the amiable staff of the bookstore. Dr. Samrand Amini initiated the proceeding events with an illuminative mini-seminar, focusing on the paramount importance of IELTS and its ability to significantly augment students’ academic progression, as well as paving their way to further studies abroad. The students actively contributed to the discussion, providing valuable input through comments and inquiries. Subsequently, Dr. Amini proceeded with a concise presentation, regarding the available books on English Language Teaching (ELT), unequivocally assisting students in selecting the books that best suit their needs.

Finally, on behalf of the students and the Department of General Education, Dr. Amini extended gratitude to the founder, Mr. Haval, and the staff of Haval Bookstore, acknowledging their welcoming hospitality and wishing them continued success.

The primary objective of this visit was to acquaint the students with the latest ELT materials, IELTS, and language-related resources, deemed imperative for optimal teaching and learning. The Department of General Education, accordingly, endeavors to organize such scientific visits throughout the academic year, aimed at enriching the students’ knowledge and practical capabilities.
