Students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Begin Practical Teaching Practice at Schools

As part of the academic requirements for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree, fourth-year students from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Cihan University – Erbil have commenced their practical field teaching practice in schools.

It began in October 2026 under the supervision of the department head and the direct guidance of faculty members. All students were placed across a selection of public and private schools.

 School administrations provided a conducive educational environment, enabling student teachers to deliver physical education lessons in accordance with school schedules and to practically apply the theoretical knowledge and field skills acquired throughout their university studies.

 The practical teaching phase is considered a fundamental cornerstone in preparing and qualifying educational cadres for the teaching profession.

It also plays a vital role in enhancing communication skills, improving classroom management abilities, and effectively boosting professional competence.
