The Activities of the Toxicology Conference, Specialized Research in Toxicology, and Workshops at the Conference in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

On the second-and-third-day of the Toxicology Conference held on Monday and Tuesday

(5 – 6 December 2022) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the student team from the Department of Biomedical Sciences of Cihan University – Erbil under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Merza Hamza, participated in a series of workshops at the conference. Three workshops were held under the following titles: SIM-shop. Simulation-Based Case Studies for the Management of the Most Common Toxicology Emergencies. And Treatment Method for Intoxicated Patients. Also Artificial Intelligence in a Career Pathway.

These workshops included various toxicology topics such as sources, conditions of poisoning, mechanism of toxicity, factors enhancing toxicity, investigations, treatment, narcotic toxidrome, cause of death, pesticides, and artificial key statistics AI.

Many meetings were also held with the representatives of a number of Arab universities, and they expressed their desire to cooperate with Cihan University-Erbil in terms of information exchange, joint research, exchange of visiting professors, student meetings, and holding joint conferences. The universities are as follows: Sulaiman Alrajhi University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and University of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
