THE DEPARTMENT OF ARCHITECTURE ORGANIZED A SCIENTIFIC TRIP TO LALISH

On May 10, 2023, the Department of Architectural Engineering at Cihan University-Erbil organized a scientific trip to Lalish in Erbil, with participation from fourth-stage students under the supervision of Dr. Sana Mohammed.

Upon arrival, teachers and students were greeted by Mr. Lukman Suleiman. He elaborated on the historical description of the temple’s architectural structure, stating that its origins date back to the 12th century AD. The students asked temple officials many questions about history and architecture.

The scientific trip is part of the requirements for the architectural history and architectural design lessons. At the end of the trip, Dr. Sana Mohammed and the students thanked Mr. Luqman Suleiman, who in turn praised Cihan University-Erbil and the activities it offered to introduce students.
