THE DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE CONDUCTED A SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY IN THE ANTENNA LABORATORIES

                   In order to familiarize students with different wireless communication devices and technologies, the Computer Science Department at Cihan University – Erbil organized a scientific activity for second-year students in the Antenna laboratories under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Reem Jaafar Ismail and the students were introduced to different walkie-talkies.

              During this activity, Professor Dr. Hisham Jawad, assistant professor Adel Hussein Muhammad, and lecturers from the department of software and Informatics Engineering provide an in-depth explanation of the importance of wireless transmission in computer networks. The students were also taught about different types of antennas, how to use antennas, and wireless technology to transmit information from a computer to a network.

              The students were also exposed to the importance of wireless communication technology, which is called the heart of the Internet of Things (IoT) and is one of the most popular ways of transmitting information in computer networks. This scientific activity is important for the students to support their study of wireless network specifications in the network administration module.
