THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND DIPLOMACY HOSTS THE HIGH ELECTION COMMISSION

On Monday, May 8, 2023, the Department of International and Diplomatic Relations at Cihan University – Erbil organized a scientific symposium for Mr. Shoresh Hassan Karim, Director General of the Media and Relations Office of the Independent High Electoral Commission in the Kurdistan Regional Government, and the judicial assistant in the Iraqi Ministry of Justice. The symposium was attended by professors and students of the Department of International and Diplomatic Relations at Cihan University – Erbil.

In the symposium Mr. Shoresh Hassan discussed about the functions of the election commission, its powers and its role in educating citizens to participate in the electoral process. He then highlighted the obstacles they face in their work and in their relationship with the Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission
