The Participation of the Cihan University-Erbil Team in the Erbil Universities Mini Football Championship

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a mini-football tournament took place on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Teşik International University Stadium.

 A consortium of both public and private universities in Erbil enthusiastically participated in this sporting event. It’s worth highlighting that the inaugural match featured the Cihan University-Erbil team, captained by the teaching assistant, Dana Abdul Baqi Muhammad, from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Cihan University-Erbil, facing off against the Hawler Medical University team.

The Cihan University/Erbil squad emerged victorious in a closely contested match, securing a four-goal triumph over the Hawler Medical University team, which managed three goals, determined through penalty kicks at the conclusion of the two halves.
