College of Dentistry at Cihan University – Erbil participates in the scientific activities of the International Unified International Conference of Dentistry Colleges in Iraq

Among the protocol items of the International Unified National Conference of Dentistry Colleges in Iraq, held in Baghdad for the intervals from 13-14/12/2024, a delegation from the College of Dentistry at Cihan University – Erbil actively participated in the scientific activities of the conference.

After the end of the activities of the first day of the conference, the deans of the faculties of dentistry in Iraq and the Arab world held an “expanded” meeting during which they discussed ways to develop scientific research methods and raise the level of academic work by trying to find ways to unify the curricula in the Iraqi and Arab faculties of dentistry. Accordingly, committees and research groups were formed for this purpose. In this framework, Cihan University – Erbil had the honor of membership in all committees stemming from this meeting through the presence of the Dean of the College of Dentistry Dr. Qais Burhan Al-Jumaili and his active contribution to its formation. The meeting witnessed the presence of a number of presidents of Arab universities,

Furthermore, The Dean of the College of Dentistry also held bilateral meetings with a number of deans of faculties and researchers from some Arab universities (Palestine, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt), during which they discussed ways of joint bilateral cooperation with these universities in order to achieve the exchange of experiences in dentistry sciences and follow up the latest developments in this field.

In addition to the activities of the conference, Assistant Professor Dr. Ninous Polus Philip from the College of Dentistry at Cihan University – Erbil chaired a scientific panel discussion, in which the latest developments in dentistry sciences were discussed and the academic dialogue was conducted with experts in this field by presenting their research and scientific products At the same time, students of the College of Dentistry at Cihan University – Erbil participated in all scientific events, lectures and research presented. Moreover, Assistant Professor Dr. Ninos Paul Philip handed over certificates of participation to researchers and lecturers, and he was honored with the conference shield for his contribution to the management of the scientific session.

During the two days of the conference, the delegation of the College of Dentistry at Cihan University – Erbil participated in the various activities of the conference, in which the latest developments in various dentistry specialties were discussed by presenting more than 40 lectures, scientific research, symposium and panel discussions including (oral and dentistry surgery, dentistry implants, pediatric dentistry and preventive medicine, orthodontics, dentistry treatment and cosmetology, dentistry-related diseases) delivered by many dentistry specialists and researchers.
