In the latest ranking of WoS, Cihan University-Erbil ranked first at the level of private universities

In the latest ranking of the website “WoS”, which was published on January 8th, 2023, Cihan University-Erbil was ranked first among private universities.

According to this ranking, during the past five years (2022-2018), Cihan University-Erbil has been ranked first among the private universities of the Kurdistan Region, while it ranked fourth at the level of all public and private universities in the Kurdistan Region. Cihan University-Erbil also ranked fifteenth among seventy-five universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

As listed in the ranking, Cihan University-Erbil had registered 415 documents on the WoS website, which resulted in collecting 5261 indexes in WoS. In the same list, it has been explained that over the past five years (2022-2018), Cihan University-Erbil has achieved a high number of impacts of publication and reach an H-index of 28.

The University’s pioneering in the ranking of WoS reaffirms the fact that Cihan University-Erbil and its lecturers are highly capable, that the level and quality of their research is at the level of scientific standards, and that they have been able to publish their research according to accurate standards in sober scientific journals with internationally approved impact factors.

The WoS website is one of the leading and important sources for information and scientific research for higher education students, researchers and lecturers as it specializes in publishing books, scientific research and solid scientific publications. There are 75 universities and colleges at the Iraqi level for 2022, and Cihan University-Erbil has been registered as a leading university.
