The Department of Radiology Imaging Technologies Launched an Innovative Recycling Project

In alignment with Cihan University – Erbil commitment to sustainable development, a group of second- and third-year students from the Department of Radiologic Imaging Technologies has launched an innovative recycling project. This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 12 on responsible consumption and production by designing and implementing a custom-built recycling bin inspired by global models. The students independently executed the project, utilizing locally available resources rather than relying on pre-made products.

Under the supervision of Dr. Reem Jarallah, this initiative highlights the university’s dedication to integrating sustainability into academic and extracurricular activities while fostering student creativity and environmental responsibility. By encouraging such initiatives, Cihan University–Erbil reaffirms its role in promoting sustainability through practical student engagement.
