The Radiological Imaging Technologies Department of Cihan University-Erbil Organized a Scientific Trip to Erbil International Hospital
On, November 13th, 2023 (Monday), the second-stage students from the Radiological Imaging Technologies Department of Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Navid Abdolkarimi Esmaeil, conducted a scientific visit to Erbil International Hospital in Erbil.
The primary aim of the visit was to increase students’ information and knowledge of ultrasound devices. They were welcomed by the hospital’s General Manager, Dr. Bewar Barznji. During the visit, the physical concept of ultrasound was explained and the students saw the main parts of the ultrasound device and the components of probes.
The type of probes was also discussed and how to deal with probes for special means was described. The students then observed the procedures for performing ultrasounds on patients and practiced ultrasound imaging on each other.
At the end of the visit, the students left the hospital, expressing their excitement about the valuable information they had gained.
