A student from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Cihan University – Erbil participated in the Fursat Sofi Futsal Championship

On January 21, 2024, Sima Dara, a third-year student from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Cihan University in Erbil, participated in the late Fursat Sofi Championship hosted by the Erbil Football Branch of the Iraqi Federation.

The championship’s final match featured a showdown between Chia Club and Erbil Girls Club. Erbil Girls Club emerged victorious, securing the championship title with a score of four goals to two in their favor.

Remarkably, Sima Dara, a member of the Erbil Girls Club, stands out as an exceptional goalkeeper with a history of active participation in numerous tournaments within the Kurdistan Region in preceding years. In the previous year, she achieved the tribute of being recognized as the best goalkeeper in women’s outdoor football.
