Cihan University-Erbil Academics Participate in International Training Program on Trade and Economic Cooperation

On 10 July 2026, two representatives from Cihan University-Erbil participated in a specialized international training program held in Chengdu, China. The program brought together official representatives from seven other countries and focused on international trade, investment, transportation, logistics, and economic cooperation.
Cihan University-Erbil was represented by Dr. Omar Zubair Daher, Head of the Department of Law and International Relations, and Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qader from the Department of Business Administration. During the two-week program, they participated in a series of academic seminars and specialized training sessions.
The program was organized by Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, in cooperation with the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), which is affiliated with the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.
The program covered several strategic topics, including the Belt and Road Initiative, international trade, investment, transportation, logistics services, supply chain management, economic development, and international economic cooperation.
The program also introduced participants to China’s experience in infrastructure development, modern transportation system management, improving the efficiency of logistics services, and the role of investment and international trade in promoting economic growth and strengthening global connectivity.
The training featured an intensive schedule of daily lectures, seminars, and workshops lasting up to eight hours. These sessions were delivered by academics, experts, and industry specialists to enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills while promoting the exchange of experiences and international best practices in international trade, transportation, logistics, supply chain management, and economic development.
